Soldering Workshops

Our Soldering Workshop is one of our longest-running and most popular hands-on events! Each semester or year, we bring students together to learn and practice a valuable skill that every engineer should know: soldering.

💡 Why Soldering?

Soldering is a core skill in engineering and electronics, allowing students to:

  • Build and repair simple circuits
  • Gain confidence with tools and hardware
  • Understand the fundamentals of electronics design
  • Develop patience and precision in technical work

Whether you’re a beginner or have experience, our workshops provide step-by-step guidance to help you succeed.

🎉 A Creative Twist

We don’t just solder for practice—we make it fun! Over the years, we’ve hosted themed soldering activities tied to different occasions:

  • ❤️ Valentine’s Day Soldering – create heart-shaped LED projects for someone special
  • 💀 Day of the Dead Soldering – design glowing skull circuits in celebration of Día de los Muertos
  • ☀️ Summer Soldering with Program Students – introduce newcomers to electronics through engaging projects

Each theme brings its own creative projects, but the core skill—learning how to solder—remains the same.

🤝 Who Can Join?

Our workshops are open to all students, regardless of experience level. We provide the tools, materials, and instruction—you bring the curiosity!

🚀 Building Skills, Building Community

Beyond technical practice, our soldering events foster a spirit of teamwork, creativity, and community. Students leave with new skills, a project to take home, and the confidence to tackle more advanced electronics work in the future.
